5D4N Hong Kong day 2

7:30 am

Ocean Park day! Had breakfast at this eatery on the first floor of our building. Wanton mee HK style. Not bad but too much for me to finish.

Took a direct bus there from mongkok & reached at around 1130? Bought tix & went in around 12 cause of the Q. If im not wrong you can actually buy the tix online to skip the Q, oh well.

Okay so if you don't know, ocean park is split into 2 areas: One is where you enter, where there's a fountain, souvenir shops, aquarium and some animal enclosures and the other is at the summit. The main attractions like the rides are all at the latter. We went to the aquarium first but there was nth much that we hadn't already seen before in sg's Sea aquarium so we didn't spend much time inside.
Are we Avatar yet?
Feeding time (if you look closely you can see a metal can)

Time to go up to the main attraction. Fyi, there's 2 modes of transport up to the summit - by cable car or via the ocean express train. We chose the latter as the cable car Q was
too freaking long.

We were greeted by this old HK street with many picture-worthy places at the summit.

So vintage, I like!
Felt so intimidated just looking at those riding this. Not only was it constantly spinning, it went 360. Try it if you dare!

Now, isn't this creepy? It's like screaming: welcome to killer clown land! The ride looked scary but fun butttt I didn't have the balls to try it (alone).
Next up, braved the cold to meet my favourite animal!

Of all the penguin enclosures I've been to, never have I seen this: The corner where baby penguins are bred. Interesting!
Next up, Ferris wheel ride

 Nice view from the top

Tower scenery ride gave us a 360 bird's eye view

Also went on the rapids ride, similar to USS' jurassic ride just that this had water squirting from everywhere along the ride! The raincoats were going for hkd $40 (abt sgd $8) each omg so we got life vests to shield us but failed, still drenched. So bring along your own raincoat from sg.

Oh, we also went to catch the dolphin and sea lion show. And guess what? We were picked out of the whole audience (around 1000 people) along with 2 other people to interact and take a photo with the sea lions!! So honored but...we didnt buy the photos as it was not worth it.

Nothing much left to do so we decided to Q for the cable car ride back. Can I just say that it was so scary cause it was very unstable...
Some shots we took on our way out.

Waited freaking Long for a bus which was full. Walked here & there to find another bus till our legs were gna break. Lesson learnt: just take the bus from ocean park that goes to admiralty MTR and dont act smart go and find other buses!
Anws, we finally finally found a bus & boarded it to go to Wan chai. Had dinner at Dimdimsum and it was delicious! But the seats were very squeezy.

This po luo bao is super yummy!
Cute piggy liu sha bao was not bad too

No pics but the fried pork dumplings and chee cheong fun are worth trying.

Here comes the disappointing part. We found out that tai yuen toy street was already closed (at 6pm) =( Apparently they open from 10am to 6pm so do take note guys.
