Our 2nd Anniversary ♥

Hello guys, happy 2015! Anws, I'm gna write about how we celebrated our 2nd anniversary back in november. So I decided to bring the boy to arteastiq for art jamming. I bought a groupon deal for $33 each with includes a complimentary drink (worth about $5-$6), a canvas board each (can't rmb the size, but it was quite big), paintbrush set (cheapo kind tho) and unlimited supply of acrylic paint.
The groupon deal we got was at their second outlet at pasarbella (main outlet at Mandarin Gallery). The ambience was good as it made us feel cosy & welcomed. There were 2 kinds of seats: the typical chair kind & the "sunken" seats where you sit into the concave ground. We (okay I) chose us the latter cause it seemed cooler. AND TOTALLY REGRETTED IT HAHA! Had to lean forward to paint details & the posture was really back breaking. Should have just gotten the normal seats :/

Had enough people laughing at mine on instagram already so please, dont start. Mine is meaningful & symbolic okay! Please don't doubt my artistic ability guys #faithinjowin! Btw, i'm proud of kong's painting hehe. I sometimes secretly think that he is artistically inclined :)

They're chocolate coated strawberries if you can't tell & they were glittery yknw! Such a torture that I could only enjoy it with my eyes :(
Moving, on....
The next place we went to was a surprise planned by the boy. It was somewhere I've been wanting to go so i was really excited! We arrived at faber peak for our virgin cable car dining experience.
But.........the fact that we were super late for it killed most of my excitement.
Why?
We were supposed to reach at 6-7pm but arrived at 8pm. So our initial THREE rounds of cable car (30 mins each) were reduced to JUST ONE :( Yes it was our fault for being late but kong didn't know that we were supposed to strictly reach by 7pm. Tried to postpone it but to no avail as they were very strict about it. So we were left with no choice but to go ahead with one round and with our starters & main dish served together. Sigh, deep sigh.....$250 for just one round. Definitely the most expensive cable car ride in my whole life!!!
Okay enough whining, I shall move on. We were served our welcome tea while standing & waiting for the cabin to be set.

Oh btw, it was very dim in the cabin so most of our photos were badly taken (pls bear with it)

Menu:
Apple Smoked Magret of Duck with Garden Greens, Hawthorn Chutney
(The apple sauce drizzled on it went really well with the tender smoked duck, super tasty!)
Warm Brew- Cream of Wild Mushroom with Scallop Ravioli, Truffle Emulsion
(One of the best tasting mushroom soup I've ever had. We loved the textured feel of the soup and how it slid so smoothly down our throats. Wish I could steal their recipe!)
Grilled Norwegian King Salmon, Tri-Bean Stew, Breaded Oyster Basil Oil
(Tasted average, nothing special. But I hated the tri-bean stew though.)
Slow-Roasted Herb Crusted Fillet Mignon with Celeriac Puree, Port Wine Glaze
(Tasted average too)
Black Cherry Yoghurt Mousse, Morello Cherry Compote
(The berries were very sour. Mousse tasted not bad though.)

After opening our presents, we found out that we could hang bells, with our wishes written on them at the restaurant (similar to the love lock concept). I think it was $6/pair & you have to purchase from the souvenir shop. Permanent markers will be provided. With that, we wrote down our wishes for our relationship.

Back at my place and I realized kong was actually painting the strawberry bouquet haha, look alike meh??

Overall, the cable car dining would have been much better if we were punctual. So be on time if you guys are going and remember to make a booking online. Btw we wrote in to faber peak for some form of 'compensation' and the management was nice enough to offer us a complimentary cable car ride if we dine at their restaurant.
Before I end off, just want to say that the past 2 years together was full of ups & downs but it was worthwhile. Really glad to have met this boy 2 years ago for he has been such a great boyfriend. He has taught me how to be a better lover, simply by being one himself. Thank you for all the sacrifices you have made for me, especially your precious time. And sorry for always bullying you haha :X Cheers to many more fun-filled years to come, ily!
