#27 Stateland cafe & Cineleisure darts
1:22 pmBeen wanting to visit stateland ever since I saw yummy pictures of their waffles on instagram. So I dragged the boy there today to check it out. It was quite easy locating the place (with the help of google maps).
We were greeted by a very rustic looking interior, no paint on the walls, just raw concrete. The cafe was also dimly lit, but bright enough for nice pictures. Loving the mix of wooden benches and tables which nicely contrasts with the metal net structures.
Thumbs up to complimentary bottle of water, yay!
They serve all day breakfast, pastas and toasts too besides waffles
Came craving for red velvet waffles so that's what we ordered. &yup, cash only!
Psst, I finally finally finished reading my novel after starting a year ago :X
Didnt wait very long for the waffle to be served. Took the first mouth and guess what?
IT SUCKS, yes no doubt about that.
The waffle wasn't moist enough, the cream cheese didn't blend in with the waffle and the chocolate shavings didn't help. The vanilla ice cream was decent though. I guess oblong raised the bar too high and I was expecting to taste the same if not better here at stateland. What a disappointment :( Kong took two bites before giving up & I had to coax him to help me finish up (cause I don't wna waste it even though it was bad).
If we could just walk out without paying, or demand our money back, we would! Too bad we had to make payment upon ordering.
So the verdict: Pricey & substandard waffles but good ambience.
Address: 30 Bali Lane (Nearest mrt: Bugis)

Had a little quarrel (all the bad waffle's fault!!!) but settled it anyway. And so we headed to cineleisure cause my hands were itching to play some darts.
Decided to pen down our wishes for 2015 at the booth we saw at cine's entrance.
"Get fitter on 2015", You better do it and shed some fats you hear me boy?! Anyways, hope my grandpa feels better cause he's been going for operations after operations recently and taking pills after pills.
Moving on, located at level 9 was the entertainment centre where the darts machines were. Good thing's we need not purchase any drinks to play & there's house darts for use too. Played a total of 3 games and I lost 2 :( oh well. After we were done, we realized they were quite a number of people 'queuing' for the machines so be sure to go earlier to avoid the crowd. We went at around 8pm plus & stayed till roughly 10pm. Not sure what time they close though.
Goodnights,
J.
