Yes, you didn't read wrongly! There is indeed a love lock in Sg! Don't feel swagu if you didn't know cause i only came to know about it earlier this month. I think it has been there since the start of this year?
For ppl who don't know (e.g. my boyf), a love lock is a padlock which couples lock to a bridge, fence, gate, or similar public fixture to symbolize their love & the key is thrown away to symbolise unbreakable love (shamelessly quoted from wiki).
So i brought le boyf there & we wrote down wishes for our relationship on a polaroid of us & locked up! Here's an instavid i took:

Spot our polaroid if you're planning to go there. It's pretty obvious cause our faces are there haha. But don't secretly read our wishes okay, we shy...
Some tips:
- It is located just outside Central shopping centre. You will need to look harder cause I think there is some christmas snow globe stuff blocking it. If not, it should be pretty obvious as it's just near the steps.
- I read that they sell locks for $4 each (so ex!) so you should probably bring your own lock & any other materials you wish to lock up.

Passed by clarke quay & saw a huge heart shape structure
Not sure if it was another love lock structure but seems like it. Nevertheless, there were already some locks on it. Can't wait for it to be filled up!
UPDATE:
Passed by clarke quay ytd so we thought of looking for our love lock. After scrutinizing for 5 whole mins, we came to a conclusion that ours was GONE :( How sad! The plastic it was in probably got worn out after months.
Anws, while we were there, we saw some interesting stuff people locked up:
