#36 Timbre+ & non entrée desserts

9:59 am

Helloooo, my final fyp presentation is finally over!!! (which explains the lack of updates and this update) Not done with sch yet tho, still have our exhibition to prepare for, sigh.

So anws, we went to celebrate after my presentation @ Timbre+ and if you haven't heard of it, it's a gastropark as described by timbre. So basically it's a urban food hall in a container style setting with hawkers (open in the day) and restaurant-grade casual food stalls. And as with all other timbre branches, it has a stage for live band music.

It was around 8pm when we arrived and luckily managed to get a parking spot if not, idk how long we would need to wait since there were very limited lots. We initially thought this (the below pic) was the carpark but turns out they converted it to outdoor seating area.

The place was v crowded, with long queues and most tables were taken. Waited for a good 10-15mins before we got a seat. Actually i realized there were certain shops with seats inside but you have to only eat their food i guess. We sat at the common area so we could order anything we liked.

Can you see how crowded it was! Probably cause it's a friday night

We headed straight to stalls with shorter queues as we were already starving. Luckily for me, the stall i was interested in had a pretty short queue.

Food Anatomy
This stall got my attention as i kept seeing people ordering it and i can't get over how cute it looks.

Presenting to you guys my cubes of dinner.
3 dishes for $9.80 and i ordered Chicken pasta, salmon with rice & potato trio. I was quite sian that the guy gave me the smaller pieces, whyyyyy :(

So anws, 3 pieces was definitely not enough for a proper dinner. Should have ordered 6. My fav was the chicken pasta but the chicken was rly salty (but tasty!) The potato trio is a blend of 3 types of potatoes and i thought it went quite well tgt. Just that after a few mouths it got a bit "gelat". The salmon was so-so only.

Kong's dinner: Pork ribs from Garcons i think.
We also had 2 fruity ciders which was $13 each (so ex)! I asked kong why he didnt just get 1 to share & this cockster said he though the 4.5 printed on the bottle meant $4.50 -.- #nocomments #okaycan

Verdict: would return to try the other dishes :)

Headed back to kong's place and otw we decided to drop by non entree for desserts since we were not full and it was near his place.

It was full house so we were given a queue number and had to wait for our table. There were quite a few others waiting but we were the first in line hehe. The counter guy saw many people waiting and went like: "who wants to try some ice cream?" in a bid to keep us occupied. So nice of him! :)

But the ice cream flavors were quite limited and nothing really enticed me.

Didn't wait for long before we got a table and the waiter brought us a bottle of water and even poured it out for us.

I wanted to order the matcha avalanche but kong's not a fan of matcha so we settled on the rubber ducky since it looked so cute when I instagram search it.

Look!!! How adorable right, and it really looks like a rubber ducky with foamy soap la!

The foam had a lemongrass taste, with big sago pearls and cream fraiche pudding hidding under the surface. The rubber ducky was mango sorbet covered in mango puree and it all went very well tgt i must say! Finally a dessert that tastes as good as it looks :D

Verdict: Good service with friendly crews and yummy dessert (not the icecream tho). Nice setting and ambiance too.

and before we left, i spotted this:

Okay goodnites, i can't wait for fyp to end!
