#18 Dinosaurs: Dawn to Extinction
8:50 am
Been wanting to visit this exhibition for quite some time & we finally did. But we went at a bad timing though. We kinda rushed through it cause we had to go somewhere else & both our phones' battery were running low so we didnt take as many photos as we wanted to.
Gigantic life sized dino
This dino is as small as a rodent. Imagine if it still existed & replaced the job of rats. This would be what's rummaging through your bins for food, yikes!
Not sure of the name of this cute little dino but it looks similar to triceratops. Just cuter. Maybe i can keep it as a pet if it didnt go extinct haha!
ugliest looking dino ever, in my opinion
This is my why-this-dino-so-ugly face hahaha!
you must be thinking what the hell is this right? It's actually an image screened from a projector onto fog. So cool right!
If dinosaurs were still alive... dino skin handbags for you?
Really cool magnificient skulls
Drawn by some kid in the 'guest book' thingy
Presenting to you guys: Kongsarus; one of its kind alive.
Drawn by kong hahaahha :P
Life sized paper dino @ the souvenir shop!
Overall, this exhibition takes you through the journey of the dinosaurs' dawn to extinction with the use of texts, pictures, short clips, moulds, actual fossils, figurines, textures and virtual interaction (on the ipad). The sculpture of T-rex constructed out of metal left the biggest impression on me. It was so sleek & majestic. The artscience museum app (image below) made the whole experience more enriching and interactive. It gave us interesting info of general dinosaur facts as well as on specific species. So be sure to download it guys! What could have been better would be the addiction of a 3D documentary, (just like the mummy exhibition previously), showing how paleontologists piece those fossils together. That would be so cool!
- Remember to download the app. Available on both app store & play store.
- Book your tix online in advance to get a discount.
- Catch the tour.
It lasts an hour and covers the main aspects of the timeline. You can go back to those exhibits that weren't covered after that. Great for lazy people (like me) who don't wanna read the descriptions. You might wanna call & check the tour timing so you can plan what time to reach.
That's all folks. Do stay tuned!
