#17 Dartslive

11:03 am

Hello guys, sorry for the super long wait for this update. Been busy with my part time job & catching up with friends. Finally found time to update tonight!

Okay so if you guys are looking for some indoor fun after dinner or something, you should have a go at darts. Not the traditional type but the electronic one. It has many types of games & the good thing is that it's only $1 per game. & one game doesn't end that fast, well, unless you're a pro. Anws, i was surprised at the amount of females playing as i thought that this recreational game would be more popular among guys. Seems like im wrong.

There are quite a few outlets that house these dartslive machines. Cineleisure has it but we've yet to visit that. The one we've been to are the one at shenton way (forest2 darts cafe) & Bugis+ (Dartssoul cafe & bar). These 2 places require you to purchase drinks, usually alcohol. While the former only requires 1 purchase per table, the latter requires every individual to get a drink each.

A selfie while waiting for our drinks

kong ordered apple cider

I think mine was blue lagoon

finally got to play

So the more common games are: 701 & cricket. First game we played 701. So both players start with a score of 701 & start counting down. The first to reach 0 exactly wins / lower score wins aft 20 rounds, whichever comes first.

I was on the verge of winning....all I lacked was a coup de grace muahaha!

But i missed

& missed again

Till He beat me #sobs

My Bullseye!

Turns out i lost the 2nd game to him as well. His lucky day la....
p.s i realized the woman playing beside us was my basketball coach. What a small world right! But too awkward so i didnt say hi haha.

Moving on, did you guys know NTU has these awesome machines too? It's situated in canteen 2's black & white room (near the tray returning area). It has only 2 dartslive stations but at least you don't have to purchase any drinks yay! So to my fellow schoolmates, don't say good things i never share uh. Do drop by to check it out the next time you're at canteen 2. Remember to bring your own darts if you wna play.

Can you believe it?? He won me (by a bit) again ughhhhh!

Some questions you may ask:

Do i have to bring my own set of darts?
If you're playing in NTU then yes! Else you can borrow the house darts that cafes usually provide. But...most of them are in bad condition, like slanted tip mostly. Nevertheless, it still works so just use it. Alternatively, you can purchase cheap darts on carousell like we did. Like just for playing around till you decide to get serious.

Do i need a Dartslive card to play?
Answer is NO. You can just play as per normal but it's good to have a card as it tracks your stats for you to know your progress.

Where can i get a dartslive card & how much is it?
You can purchase it at any dart cafe but we got ours free of charge at Dartssoul cafe & bar (Bugis+). Just approach any staff & they'll help you with it.

Hope this helps & hope you love birds out there have fun playing! Warning: you may get addicted, hahaha. Oh & if your darts keep landing on the floor the first few tries, it's alright. Happened to me too. Practice makes perfect!
