Hello guys, so glad recess week is finally here! *throws confetti*

 Okay so people have been asking us about our taiwan trip so I shall share our itinerary here. It's limited to just taipei though cause we didn't venture out. 

Just to share, we booked our accommodation on airbnb and chose to stay in shilin district. It was walking distance to JianTan Mrt station & very near the shilin night market (which we visited almost every night). 

For those who're interested, this is how our apartment looked like:

Day 1: ximending & shilin night market

Day 2: Tamsui/Danshui old street & lovers' bridge @ fisherman's wharf

Day 3: Jiufen lao jie & keelung miao kou night market

(should have headed to shifen frm here but we didnt have time)

Day 4: taipei zoo & RaoHe night market

Day 5: Toilet bowl restaurant @ ximending, Wu fen pu, ningxia night market 

(wanted to go to formosa fun coast water park but code red) 

Day 6: checked out and headed to airport 

Highlights

@ Shilin night market -> Big Cock Ice Cream, duck shaped candy floss, basketball stall game

@ Danshui -> rent a motorbike/bicycle, play pachinko in arcades but forget about the claw machines (the items look like they're about to fall out but it's just an illusion!), try ah gei, eat cheap turkish icecream, get a massage, nostalgic vintage shop that sells childhood knick knacks 

@lovers' bridge-> catch sunset

@jiufen -> museum of masks, dine with a scenic view, buy malt candy 

@shifen -> waterfall, sky lantern

@taipei zoo -> avoid going on mondays ("maintenance" day), gondola cable car 

@wu fen pu -> buy "instant" lu rou fan but other than that can skip this place 

@airport-> buy vigor kobo milk sun biscuits & pineapple tarts 

*shoes in taiwan are freaking cheap compared to sg so just spam! Best service is the one in shilin night market with some digits as their shop name :D
