Canvas has took over home club's space but what I read is that they still have stand up comedies arranged every now & then.
Home club sg has shut down!
I thought they were just having renovations but NO! Such a pity :( But im glad we at least went once. Anws, it's alright, im sure we can find other standup comedy places in sg. So stay tuned guys!
Looking at this vid & pic, one would assume that we went clubbing. Well, technically we were at a club but not clubbing. So what were we there for?
No surprises since my post title gave me away, lol. Yup, so we were there to catch a stand-up comedy. If you dont knw what that is, go ask your good friend: google.

So basically, HomeClub Sg has this Stand-up comedy night every tuesdays. They would line up around 6-7 comedians every session who come from all walks of life, from locals to foreigners, uni students, NS men, working adults etc. They also range from novices to more experienced ones.
There was this awesome pinoy speaker who could imitate accents really really well. & most of his jokes were based on that. Tickled our funny bones throughout! It might not be as funny on paper but let me tell you a part of what he said:
"When i dress like this uh (formal wear with tie), and try to ask directions at an mrt station (with a singaporean accent), this happens...
Hi, excuse me, do you - No no no, i already have insurance.
No, i dont sell insurance, i just wanted to - Ohhh no no i have credit card already.

This botak malay was our favourite joker of the night & probably everyone else's. We couldn't stop laughing & clapping (like retarded seals) as he spoked. All his local jokes cracked us up big time!!!
Okay let me quote a joke he said:

Okay jokes aside, i really recommend you guys to go experience it yourselves! Its super awesome, no joke. Definitely worth your time & money.

-If not, there are chairs along the wall too (w/o table) or you could just make yourselves comfy on the floor. No joke, majority of the audience just sits on the floor or stand at the back.
